Posted on by beltzer

Microsoft has issued a critical security update affecting its Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008 operating systems. This update corrects vulnerabilities in Microsoft .NET  Framework that could allow hackers to take control of your computer.

If you are using a computer that is running a Windows operating system, ITS recommends that you configure your computer to automatically download these security updates. For documentation on how to automatically download these security updates on a computer running Windows XP, Vista, or 7, please see the Maintaining Windows Security web page.

For more information on this critical security update, please see the Microsoft security bulletin on this issue.
