Clean Up Your Social Networking Accounts with MyPermissions

Posted on by beltzer

One of the biggest security risks in the social networking arena is third-party applications; those quizzes, games, and special offers you often find on sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Many of us allow these applications access to our personal information without considering how that information may be used by these applications.

A new site, called MyPermissions, has been created to help users manage their third party application permissions. For more information on the MyPermissions website, please see the Sophos Naked Security blog article, “MyPermissions offers one-stop shop to clean up social media permissions.”  To visit the MyPermissions website directly, please go to http://mypermissions.org.
